GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS (T&C)
Effective as of January 1, 2026
Article 1 – Introductory Provisions
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as "T&C") govern the contractual relationship between the Lessor and the Lessee regarding the rental of motor vehicles.
Definitions of Key Terms:
- Vehicle: The motor vehicle specified in the Rental Agreement, including all accessories, documents (registration certificate, insurance card), and mandatory safety equipment.
- Damage: Any damage, loss, theft, depreciation, or unauthorized wear and tear of the vehicle, including the interior, exterior, tires, glass, and undercarriage.
- Lessee: A natural or legal person entering into the Rental Agreement. The driver must meet the following criteria: minimum age of 22 years, holder of a Group B driving license for at least 4 years (with no current driving ban).
- Additional Driver: A person added to the agreement (free of charge) who must meet the same requirements as the primary driver and provide identification documents upon vehicle collection.
Documents Required for Rental (for all drivers):
- Valid National ID card or Passport.
- Valid Group B Driving License (held for a minimum of 4 years).
- Credit or Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard; AmEx and Diners Club are not accepted) for the deposit and payment.
Consumer Notice: Pursuant to Section 7 (6) (k) of Act No. 102/2014 Coll., the consumer cannot withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason, as the subject of the contract is the provision of a service (rental) on a specific date. Cancellation conditions are governed by Article 10 of these T&C.
Article 2 – Booking and Conclusion of Contract
Vehicle reservations must be made in advance (via the web form, telephone, or email). The minimum rental period is 1 day.
The contractual relationship is established upon signing the Rental Agreement and the Handover Protocol during vehicle collection. It may also be established electronically (online form with an electronic signature) if enabled by the Lessor; in such cases, the booking confirmation is considered binding.
The Lessor shall verify the identity of the Lessee. In case of suspected fraud or failure to meet the requirements (age, experience), the Lessor reserves the right to refuse the conclusion of the contract and the handover of the vehicle.
Article 3 – Handover and Return of the Vehicle
Operating Hours: Vehicles are handed over on working days (Mon – Fri) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Collection or return outside of these hours (including weekends) is possible only by prior arrangement (a fee may apply).
The Lessee is obliged to inspect the vehicle and report any discrepancies before departure.
Vehicle Return:
- The Lessee shall return the vehicle at the agreed time and location.
- Grace Period: 59 minutes. After this period, a full additional day’s rental fee will be charged.
- Rental extensions are only possible in writing (email/SMS) at least 24 hours in advance.
- Failure to return the vehicle without prior agreement is considered unauthorized use (fine of 100 EUR + daily rental rate).
- The vehicle must be returned clean, with a full tank (Full-to-Full policy), and with all equipment intact.
Roadside Assistance: Included 24/7 (towing up to 100 km in case of technical failure, replacement vehicle if available). If the failure is caused by the Lessee’s intent or negligence (e.g., flat battery due to lights left on, misfueling), the costs shall be borne by the Lessee.
Article 4 – Rental Price and Mileage Limits
Prices on the website include 23% VAT. The Lessor reserves the right to change prices due to unforeseen circumstances (changes in tax rates, fuel prices), of which the client will be informed at least 7 days in advance.
Mileage Limit: The rental price includes a limit of 200 km/day, up to a maximum of 3,000 km per calendar month. The total limit is calculated as: Number of rental days × 200 km (up to the monthly maximum).
Excess Mileage Fee: 0.24 EUR (incl. VAT) per km.
Price Includes: Vehicle without branding, maintenance, Third-Party Liability Insurance (PZP), Slovak highway vignette, assistance services, and an additional driver fee.
Article 5 – Payment and Deposit
Payment: Due upon vehicle handover (cash, debit/credit card, or advance bank transfer). For payments made with cards in currencies other than EUR, the Lessee bears all exchange rate differences and conversion fees.
Invoicing: Monthly invoicing is possible for long-term rentals (over 15 days).
Refundable Deposit: 300 EUR. This is processed via credit card pre-authorization or in cash.
The Lessor is entitled to unilaterally offset the following from the deposit: contractual penalties, insurance excess, missing fuel, or cleaning costs.
The deposit refund (release of pre-authorization) occurs within 14 business days after the return of the vehicle without defects. Cash deposits are returned immediately upon vehicle handover.
Article 6 – Insurance and Liability for Damage
Basic Coverage (Included): The excess (deductible) applies to each damage event separately (i.e., each instance of damage not materially or temporally related is considered a separate event with a separate excess).
| Damage Amount | Lessee's Excess (Deductible) |
|---|---|
| Up to 3,000 EUR | 300 EUR |
| Over 3,000 EUR | 10% of the total damage amount |
Obligations in Case of Accident: The Lessee is obliged to:
- Immediately call the Police for any accident, theft, collision with animals, or parking lot damage and request a police report. Without a police report, insurance coverage is void, and the Lessee is liable for 100% of the damage.
- Refrain from any action that could lead to the rejection of the insurance claim (e.g., fleeing the scene).
- Notify the Lessor of the damage event without delay.
Article 7 – Cross-Border Travel
Vehicle entry is permitted only to European Union (EU) countries.
The Lessee must inform the Lessor of travel abroad at least 24 hours in advance, which will be recorded in the agreement.
Traveling outside the Slovak Republic without the Lessor's consent is considered a gross breach of contract with full liability for any damages.
Article 8 – Rights and Obligations of the Lessee
The Lessee is obliged to properly maintain the vehicle (check fluids, tire pressure).
Liability for Offenses: The Lessee is fully responsible for all traffic violations and fines (e.g., speeding, illegal parking, unpaid vignettes) committed during the rental period. If a fine is received after the rental ends, the Lessee agrees to pay it, including an administrative processing fee.
Strict Prohibitions:
- Smoking in the vehicle (including electronic cigarettes).
- Transporting animals without a transport crate.
- Towing other vehicles or trailers.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, medication, or drugs.
- Leaving valuables or documents in the vehicle (the Lessor is not responsible for theft).
Article 9 – Penalties and Fees
The Lessor is entitled to charge the following contractual penalties (deductible from the deposit):
| Type of Violation | Fee (incl. VAT) |
|---|---|
| Smoking in the vehicle | 200 EUR |
| Excessive interior soiling (requiring deep cleaning) | min. 50 EUR |
| Loss of vehicle key | 300 EUR |
| Loss of documents (Registration) or License Plates | 200 EUR |
| Administrative fee for fine processing | 15 EUR / fine |
Article 10 – Cancellation Policy
In case of reservation cancellation, the following fees apply:
- More than 72 hours before rental: No charge.
- 72 to 24 hours before rental: 20% of the total rental price.
- Less than 24 hours before rental: 50% of the total rental price. In case of "Force Majeure" (natural disaster, state pandemic measures restricting movement), no cancellation fee is charged.
Article 11 – Final Provisions
Legal relations are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes shall be settled primarily by agreement, or by the court of competent jurisdiction in Košice.
Consumers have the right to resolve disputes through the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) system (SOI).
Information regarding the processing of personal data (GDPR) is available in the Privacy Policy section.
The Lessor reserves the right to amend the T&C, with changes being published on the website at least 14 days in advance.
